Media Calendar: Prof Talks on New Orleans Disasters

Oct. 25, Tuesday -- °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ environmental historian Ari Kelman will speak on "Built in Harm's Way: New Orleans' History of Disaster and Renewal" as part of a special seminar series on natural disasters and their consequences at °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ. He is author of "A River and Its City: The Nature of Landscape in New Orleans." Kelman arrived at °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ this fall from the University of Denver. His lecture, part of the Policy Watch Seminar Series sponsored by the Institute of Governmental Affairs, will begin at 12:10 p.m. in the IGA Reading Room on the third floor of the Shields Library.
