RECREATION: Boredom Busters, TGFS and A's game

Boredom Busters: April 4-8

With Davis public schools and other school districts taking spring break April 4 to 8, Campus Recreation is once again presenting its Boredom Busters program for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Parents can register their children for the full-day Boredom Busters (8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.) or half-day (8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.).

Campus Rec officials said: “Turn a week of restless activity into a week of exploring and adventure at the °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Cam at the °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ campus. Boredom Busters offers your children a week to explore the many wonderful activities available within the Department of Campus Recreation, such as sports, rock wall climbing, arts and crafts, and more.â€

The cost: Full day — $210, or $195 for Activities and Recreation Center members. Half day — $145, or $135 for ARC members.

TGFS volleyball, golf, bowling and more

Staff Assembly has announced the details for all the recreation activities that go with Thank Goodness for Staff. Click on the links for whatever interests you.

  • — Tuesday, May 10 (one day before the TGFS Picnic)
  • — Saturday, May 7. Registration April 4-29
  • — Saturday, April 30. Register by April 18.
  • — July 5-Aug. 11. Registration June 20-24.
  • — April 11-May 9. Registration March 28-April 6.

A's vs. Giants: June 19

Play ball! Staff Assembly has organized °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Day with the Oakland A’s — Sunday, June 19, a 1:05 p.m. game vs. the World Champion San Francisco Giants.

Tickets are $12 per person for Plaza Reserve seats, no food included; or $42 per person for Plaza Club seats, including a gourmet deli sandwich, chips and soda, plus access to the Plaza Club.
