Staff members have until Aug. 2 to buy specially priced tickets for °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Day at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo.
The celebration is planned for Saturday, Aug. 9. The °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ tickets are priced at $31.99, an $8 savings off the regular general admission price. Plus, the °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ tickets include a picnic lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta with marinara sauce (for vegetarians), potato salad, green salad and ice cream sandwiches.
The online price is $32.99 (including a $1 service charge), with tickets available at staff.ucdavis.edu. Click on Summer Fun near the top of the page, then "Click here to order your tickets today!" When you get to the Discovery Kingdom ticket order page, type in "UCDpicnic" in the promo code box at the upper right-hand corner, then click "go."
°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Health System staff can buy tickets in person, for $31.99 apiece, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 23 at two locations: the cafeterias in the main hospital and in the Ellison Building. No ticket sales are planned on the Davis campus.
