New Yorker Content / New Yorker Content for Ƶ en New Yorker Art Critic to Give Thiebaud Lecture at Ƶ /news/new-yorker-art-critic-give-thiebaud-lecture-uc-davis <p>Peter Schjeldahl, art critic for <em>The New Yorker</em>, will give the Betty Jean and Wayne Thiebaud Endowed Lecture at the&nbsp;Ƶ, Davis, March 10. The lecture, “The Critic as Artist: Updating Oscar Wilde,” is at 4:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.</p> <p>The series is named for filmmaker and teacher Betty Jean Thiebaud, wife of Wayne Thiebaud, an internationally recognized artist who taught at Ƶ for 30 years.
