The ��Ƶ Department of Biomedical Engineering is launching a new nine-month master’s degree program in medical device development at Aggie Square, the expansive innovation district the university will open in Sacramento in 2025. The program combines hands-on training with entrepreneurial expertise that aims to fast-track careers in industry.

Nursing School in Nation’s Top 25 in Graduate School Rankings

The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing tied for 24th place in the nation for master’s degree nursing programs in U.S. News & World Report’s most recent rankings of professional and graduate programs.

The news outlet released updated rankings Monday, April 8, for four disciplines and 11 specialties in its 2024 edition of the Best Graduate Schools.

Lauren Lindstrom’s appointment as the dean of the School of Education has been extended for an additional year, through June 30, 2023, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Mary Croughan announced today (January 20). After she completes her term as dean, Lindstrom will continue to teach and pursue research as a professor in the School.

��Ƶ Leads $3.7M Multicampus Grant to Stem Shortage of Instrumental Physicists

There is an alarming shortfall of particle physicists prepared to design instruments that open pathways to Nobel Prize-winning discoveries like neutrino oscillations and the Higgs boson. To help fill the gap, the U.S. Department of Energy has awarded $3.7 million to a consortium led by the ��Ƶ, Davis, to train 32 graduate students in high-energy physics instrumentation.

2-Generation Care Program Established

The Early Childhood Lab School and the Transfer and Reentry Center have been awarded $1.5 million from the federal government to establish a two-generation care program of subsidized child care for eligible student parents, and wraparound support for the parents as they work to complete their degrees while raising children.
