WarnMe to Use Mobile Phones From Student Records

To more effectively reach students with emergency information, the campus is adding the mobile phone numbers of students to its WarnMe notification system to support text messaging.

He took up his post in October and since then has been forming relationships with departments across the campus — reviewing and preparing action plans with fire, police, ��Ƶ Health and more.

Davis Campus Introduces Mobile App for WarnMe, Tests System Oct. 1

The Davis campus will conduct a test of ��Ƶ WarnMe at noon Thursday, Oct. 1, as it transitions to a new vendor for the emergency alerting system and incorporates a mobile application for sending push notifications to users.

��Ƶ Health will issue a concurrent test for its faculty, staff and students.

Campus Seeks Volunteers to Train for Emergency Response Team

The campus is seeking about 50 faculty, staff and students to train this quarter as members of a new Campus Emergency Response Team.

NEWS BRIEFS: Stokes named emergency manager

Clement Stokes is the campus’s new director of emergency management and mission continuity. He previously served as director of emergency management at Northwestern University for seven years.

Part of the Safety Services unit, he will work closely with the Event and Crisis Management Team, chaired by the chancellor and provost, as well as emergency officials throughout the region.
